International academic partnerships

Since its creation, the INSTN has developed close relations with universities and research centres in leading nuclear countries such as the United-States, Canada, Russia, Japan, China and Korea, as well as other countries seeking to use nuclear energy in the medium-term, like Poland and Vietnam.

More specifically, ongoing exchanges in fields of radiation protection and nuclear applications for health have also been established with the Maghreb countries or Africa.

The INSTN is an active participant in a French consortium comprising engineering schools at the French-Chinese Institute for Nuclear Energy (IFCEN) at Sun Yat-sen University, in Guangdong Province. The INSTN is responsible for courses focusing specifically on nuclear engineering modules and trains its Chinese counterparts to provide these academic programmes in the future.
