CEA staff buses

Some forty regular bus routes provide transport for CEA staff to and from the various “Portes” on the edge of central Paris, as well as most local areas in the southern suburbs in the Ile-de-France.

Staff are dropped at the N306 roundabout at 8.30am (Eastern entrance) or inside the CEA centre at the bus station where shuttles provide a link with the INSTN (5 min travel time).

In the evening, these buses can only be used if courses finish at 4.30pm.

Timetables and routes for these buses can be obtained from the teaching assistants.

Specific formalities to access the bus station

Students can only travel to the Saclay centre with a prior request for authorisation. They must therefore see the teaching assistant to get a pass made for use in the shuttles travelling through the centre to the bus station. The INSTN student card, or the pass (for students not enrolled with the INSTN), only gives access to the bus station at the Saclay centre for the duration of the academic year. In no way do they constitute access badges for the centre.

This card is strictly personal and must be systematically shown upon request by the security services. If it is lost or stolen, please alert the teaching assistant at the earliest opportunity.

To deal with all security checks, students must have their student card on them as well as a form of identity (national ID card or passport).
